Course Structure
- Didactic Portion (40 Hours)Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics, including:
- HIPAA Law
- EMR and Charting
- Laser Biophysics
- Skin and Hair Anatomy
- Laser Safety and Hazard Management
- Patient Selection
- Contraindications and Photosensitizing Medications
- Marketing Laser Services and Client Communication
- Employment Opportunities in the Medical/Laser Aesthetics Market
- A 50-question test will conclude this portion, requiring a passing score of 80% to advance to the clinical component.
- Clinical Portion (48 Hours)Students will gain hands-on experience in a spa-like environment, completing:
- A minimum of 24 hours/10 treatments for laser hair reduction.
- An additional 24 hours/10 treatments for certification in cosmetic laser procedures, including photofacials and non-ablative skin rejuvenation.
